Welcome to CISME
The Confederation of Indian Small and Medium Enterprises (CISME) is a not-for-profit Organisation that welcomes all in the entrepreneurial community into it fraternity. CISME has been pioneered by a group of entrepreneurs, and is aimed to work closely with both the public and the private sectors to ensure that businesses in India can operate in a conducive and vibrant environment.
With the entrepreneurs and their business in mind, CISME is dedicated to playing a pivotal role in creating a robust business ecosystem that is favourable to the success of SMEs. At CISME, we have put in place a holistic framework that includes a variety of effective activities and services tailored to meet the needs of our members and all other SMEs across the globe.
Objectives
CISME Objectives
Monitoring the policy and legislative process and keeping its members informed on all matters of government policy of relevance to SMEs.
Representing and promoting the interests and opinions of its member organisations to the government and also to other international bodies like WTO.
CISME Strategy
CISME endeavours to ensure that the interests of SMEs are taken into account in all legislation that has an impact on them. Some of the key legislative areas in which CISME will play an active role include: economic and fiscal policy, employment and social policy, environmental policy, enterprise policy, internal market, legal affairs, and R&D.
Our Services
Networking
It is planned to organize networking events for CISME members on a regular basis to provide a standard platform for members and business owners.
Public-Private Collaborations
CISME will invite its members to these interactive sessions for their feedbacks and information exchange between government and the industry.
CISME Awards
CISME will initiate an annual Entrepreneur of the Year Award to acknowledge the efforts of small business leaders.
Internationalisation
CISME Members can also participate in trade missions organised by CISME or their partners at subsidised rates.
Training, Skill Development and Capacity Development Programmes
Training programmes and workshops on a regular basis will be organized by CISME to enable its members and other entrepreneurs to have an avenue to enhance their capabilities .
Helping SMEs to meet the Challenges
CISME will analyse the role of SMEs in India and the challenges they face in the open and competitive Business Environment.
Gearing SMEs to Adapt Modernisation of Technology
CISME would help promote SMEs to adapt new technologies by offering technology related information, facilitation on technology transfer and adoption of new technologies.
Use of ICT to enhance Competitiveness
Special emphasis shall be given to adoption of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) for SMEs to enhance their competitiveness.
